How do I make a payment?  

Credit Card

You can pay by using credit card, by loging into the below services and then payment will be automatically taken from your chosen account.  


If you pay using PayPal by default payment will not be taken automatically every month. You will need to login. Once logged in click the number where it says "Total Due" . Now click the invoice number you would like to pay. You can make a one time payment by clicking the picture that says "Pay Now with PayPal" or you can set your payment to be taken automatically every month by clicking "Pay Now and Subscribe"  

Google Checkout

You can also pay with Google checkout, all you have to do is log into your account and use the same method as the paypal example and payment will be taken automatically.  


You can also pay with NoChex, all you have to do is log into your account and use the same method as the paypal example and payment will be taken.  

Where do I go to login to my control panel?  

You go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel or http://yourIPaddress/cpanel. You can also go to http://yourdomain.com:2082/.  

When will my domain start working?  

It usually takes 24-48 hours for a domain to fully replicate changes, additions, or deletions across all name servers. For you to see the effects, however, all depends on your ISP. Updates my be within minutes for your neighbor, but may take up to a week for you or vice-versa. The reason for this is the name servers for your ISP update at different times. For various ISPs it is quite possible for DNS take a week or more to update.  

How do I create email accounts?  

To create an email account, login to your control panel and click Mail, then Add/Remove Email Accounts.  

What is an addon domain?  

An addon domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Think of it as having multiple hosting packages all sharing the same control panel. You can give them email addresses, forwarders, and more the same way you do for your main domain on the account.   The addon domain will exist inside the public_html directory of your account with the folder name you choose for it upon creation.  

What is the difference between parked, addon, and subdomains?  

An addon domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from your cPanel. Once it's created it will have it's own email, and it's own folder from within the public_html directory.

Addon domain URLs look like www.domain.com Subdomain URLs look like forum.domain.com, cat.domain.com, etc. domain.com the www is replaced with anything you want. Parked domains are a place holder site. You park it on top of another site and it becomes a single page of the site you park it on.  

Will you place ads on my site?  

HourHost.com will NOT place ads on your site. That is one of the many advantages of having a paid host. We do have a default 404 page that can be replaced in a few seconds with your own that we recommend doing to help maximize your traffic. If you aren't sure how to do this then email us and we will be happy to do it for you. A 404 page is what loads when someone visits a page on your site that doesn't exist.  

How much is extra bandwidth and space?  

If you need more bandwidth or disk space, e-mail us to upgrade you to a higher plan. If you need more bandwidth or space than our highest plan offers, please email sales@hourhost.com for a custom plan. We'll be more than happy to work something out to fit your needs.
